CHICO’S AND WHITE HOUSE/BLACK MARKET SIGN LEASES AT HUNT VALLEY TOWNE CENTRE

Owings Mills, MD (March 15, 2005) – Chico’s has signed a lease for 3000 square feet of space, and White House/Black Market has signed a lease for 2000 square feet at Hunt Valley Towne Centre in Hunt Valley, MD. Greenberg Gibbons Commercial Corporation is undertaking a comprehensive re-development program at the former Hunt Valley Mall which, upon completion, will feature more than 980,000 square feet of retail space, including 260,000 square feet in an open air “Main Street” environment, as well as various pad site locations.

The fashion retailers join anchors Wegmans Food Market and Greetings & Readings, as well as nearly twenty-five other merchants including Coldwater Creek, JoS. A. Bank Clothiers, Ann Taylor Loft, Ulta and Spa in the Valley. Restaurants that have signed leases at the project include Greystone Grill, Jesse Wong’s Open Kitchen and Damon’s Sports Theatre, among others.

Chico’s sells exclusively designed, private-label women’s clothing and accessories in more than 450 stores around the country and internationally. White House/Black Market, which was founded by a Baltimore-based entrepreneur in 1985, are boutiques carrying women’s white and black clothing exclusively, as well as white and black accessories, jewelry and gifts. White House/Black Market became a fully-owned subsidiary of Chico’s in 2003, but operates independently.

“The addition of these highly-visible and highly-respected women apparel stores brings increased diversity and interest to our merchant mix,” stated Brian Gibbons, President and CEO of Greenberg Gibbons Commercial Corporation.

Construction work is on schedule for the 140,000 square foot Wegmans Food Market, with the grocery store expected to open its first Maryland location in October. It will join existing tenants that include Sears, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Wal-Mart, Burlington Coat Factory, DSW, Regal Cinema, Outback Steakhouse and Carrabba’s Italian Grill.

A number of retailers located in the pad site buildings including Panera Bread, Caribou Coffee and Quizno’s Subs, are also open. Additional stores will begin to be operational in the in-line “Main Street” areas of Hunt Valley Towne Center this Spring, with the majority of tenants opening by third quarter 2005.

Located off Interstate 83 Exit 20B, the project is six miles north of the Baltimore Beltway, adjacent to the Hunt Valley Business Community, 10 miles from Towson, 20 miles from downtown Baltimore City and 35 miles from the City of York, PA.

More than one million consumers reside within a fifteen mile radius of the project, with an average household income of more than $140,000 and the site is surrounded by more than seven million square feet of office space and five hotels.

Greenberg Gibbons Commercial, founded in 1968, focuses on the acquisition, development, leasing and management of mixed-use properties and retail shopping centers in the Mid-Atlantic region. The firm builds value in these holdings through asset management, re-development and leasing activities. The company presently owns and manages eighteen properties totaling more than three million square feet of space.
