Annapolis Towne Centre Celebrates Grand Opening with Fun Around Towne

Free Concert, Demonstrations, Special Promotions and More

Owings Mills, Md. (May 6, 2009) — This Mother’s Day weekend, the community is invited to the “Fun Around Towne” grand opening celebration at the new Annapolis Towne Centre at Parole, the two million-square-foot, mixed-use development. The event will include a free outdoor concert, retailer demonstrations, shopping and restaurant specials and giveaways.

The event will kick off with an outdoor concert Friday, May 8 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A full roster of grand opening activities will take place on Saturday, May 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Event highlights include:

  • A free outdoor concert on Friday night with four bands (Dan Hass and Ben’s Bones, Right Foot Red, Wild Rovers and Pilgrim & Trout)
  • “Blooms on the Boulevard” — exhibits and free demonstrations by floral artists, hosted by the newly opened Whole Foods Market.
  • Special attractions at all stores and restaurants, including fashion shows, yoga and Pilates demonstrations, jewelry trunk shows, cooking demonstrations, restaurant tastings and much more.
  • A full day of entertainment, including caricature and calligraphy artists, magicians, balloon artists, WRNR radio and more.
  • A special, Mother’s Day fundraiser benefitting Light House, a homeless prevention support center in Annapolis, Md.
