Greenberg Gibbons Appoints David Schreiber as Chief Investment Officer

Baltimore, Md. (August 5, 2026) Greenberg Gibbons announced today that David Schreiber has joined the firm as Chief Investment Officer. In this newly created position, Schreiber will serve on the executive leadership team as the firm continues to optimize its execution capabilities and expand its investment platform and portfolio.

Schreiber will lead the firm’s investment and capital strategy, fund management, investor relations, and financing activity.  In addition, he will work closely with the company’s development and asset management teams to optimize overall portfolio performance, strengthen existing and identify new investor relationships, and advance the company’s investment performance and growth objectives. He will report to President Eric Walter.

“As Greenberg Gibbons looks ahead, we are strengthening the leadership and expertise needed to advance our long-term strategy,” said Eric Walter, president of Greenberg Gibbons. “David brings a strong combination of investment, development, capital markets, financing, and portfolio management experience that will enhance our capabilities and support the continued evolution of the firm.”

Schreiber brings more than 20 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, development, capital markets, and asset and portfolio management across both institutional and private investment platforms, having led $5 billion of investment transactions nationwide spanning all major property types and the full risk-return spectrum. Prior to joining Greenberg Gibbons, he served as Chief Investment Officer at Cullinan Properties, where he led all company investment strategies and activities, including acquisitions, development, dispositions, equity and debt financing, construction, and investor relations.  Previously, Schreiber served as Co-Founder and Managing Partner at AneVista Group and Managing Director and Retail Sector Lead at LaSalle Investment Management. During his 16-year tenure at LaSalle Investment Management, he sourced, structured, and executed more than $4 billion of acquisition and development projects across a broad range of property types, risk profiles, markets, and transaction structures. Schreiber is a member of ICSC, the Pension Real Estate Association, and serves as chair for the Urban Land Institute’s national Commercial and Retail Development Council. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Colgate University and a Master of Business Administration degree in real estate, finance, entrepreneurship, and marketing from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

The appointment comes as Greenberg Gibbons continues to expand its investment activity and development pipeline. Earlier this year, the company launched its second private equity fund, which is targeting $300 million in retail shopping center acquisitions across the East Coast. Greenberg Gibbons is also advancing several major mixed-use developments, including the recently launched $500+ million Midtown64 project in Richmond, Va., and the $450+ million Frederick Brickworks project in Frederick, Md.
