Annapolis Towne Centre Announces Construction of New 23,190-Square-Foot Building to include Pier 1 Imports and Three Restaurants

Owings Mills, Md. (July 22, 2013) — Greenberg Gibbons announced today that construction is moving forward on a new 23,190-square-foot building at Annapolis Towne Centre on the property between West Street and Whole Foods.

The building, which is already 100% leased, will include three new restaurants and two retailers:

Mission BBQ, a fast-casual eatery, will open a new, 3,200-square-foot Annapolis Towne Centre location. The restaurant is dedicated to honoring local military service members, police officers and firemen. The ever-evolving menu is inspired by the best barbeque flavors for brisket, pulled pork, chicken and ribs found in every corner of the nation. Mission BBQ is an Anne Arundel County-based company.

Einstein Bagels, which offers fresh baked bagels, deli and breakfast sandwiches, baked goods, coffee and espresso, will open a new 2,084-square-foot shop in Annapolis Towne Centre. The bagel chain also offers a large variety of options under 400 calories, and was recently named one of the “Top 10 Healthiest Fast Food Options” by Health.com.

BGR, The Burger Joint, will open a new 1,620-square-foot location. The restaurant offers burgers made from an award-winning blend of all-natural, hormone free, grain-fed beef – all served on freshly baked brioche buns. Tuna, veggie and turkey options will also be available, and all items will be made to order.

Pier 1, specializing in imported furniture and décor, will be moving from its current location on Riva Road into an expanded, 12,019-square-foot store at Annapolis Towne Centre. The store will feature a vast assortment of distinctive household goods, home fashions and useful kitchen products.

Bark!, featuring ecologically sustainable and socially responsible pet food and supplies, will open a 2,802-square-foot Annapolis Towne Centre store. The new shop will be the Maryland-based pet supply company’s seventh location and the first in Anne Arundel County.

Construction on the new building will begin in August, and the first tenants are expected to open in fall 2014. An additional 112 new parking spaces will be created, adding to the numerous covered and valet parking options that already exist at the center.

“We are excited to continue to expand our selection of first-rate shopping and restaurant options that have made Annapolis Towne Centre a thriving lifestyle destination and community gathering place,” said Tom Fitzpatrick, president of Greenberg Gibbons.

These new tenants will join a premium mix of retailers, restaurants and services at Annapolis Towne Centre, the two million square-foot, mixed-use development. For more information, go to www.visitatc.com.
