Owings Mills, Md. (April 25, 2011) — Greenberg Gibbons announced today the addition of Regal Cinemas to the new Waugh Chapel Towne Centre, a 1.2 million-square-foot, mixed-use project in West Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
Regal Cinemas Waugh Chapel Stadium 12 & IMAX will encompass 52,000 square feet. The modern entertainment center will feature state-of-the-art digital projection and RealD 3D for showing newly-released films along with alternative programming, sporting events and concerts. The Regal Cinemas IMAX Theatre will be equipped with a specially-designed IMAX screen, and a powerful IMAX audio system delivering laser-aligned digital sound.
“The addition of Regal Cinemas to Waugh Chapel Towne Centre truly rounds out a premium mix of anchor tenants,” explained Brian Gibbons, Chairman and CEO of Greenberg Gibbons. “This cinema will bring the first IMAX theater to the area, and it will be a great new entertainment destination for the community.”
Regal Cinemas will join anchors Wegmans, Target, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Petco at Waugh Chapel Towne Centre, which will be adjacent to the existing Village at Waugh Chapel, located off of Route 3 in Gambrills, Md. The mixed-used development will feature 650,000 square feet of retail, as well as 125,000 square feet of Class A office space and 380 residential units. Waugh Chapel Towne Centre and its anchor stores are slated to open in Spring 2012.
