“Turn on the Towne Centre” Event to Include Ribbon Cutting, Lightshow, Family-Friendly Activities, and Appearances by the Ravens’ Dennis Pitta and Redskins’ Keenan Robinson
Owings Mills, Md. (November 6, 2014) — On Saturday, November 15, Greenberg Gibbons will host “Turn on the Towne Centre,” an event celebrating the grand opening of Towne Centre at Laurel, the $130 million redevelopment of the former Laurel Mall site on Route 1.
The event will run from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m. The schedule of activities includes:
3:00 to 5:00 p.m.: “Taste of the Towne,” featuring free samples from Towne Centre at Laurel restaurants, live music, a holiday photo opportunity, and free LED Balloons and glowsticks.
4:30 to 5:00 p.m.: An opening ceremony with remarks from Laurel Mayor Craig A. Moe, Greenberg Gibbons and AEW.
5:00 to 5:15 p.m.: A light show to illuminate the new destination.
5:00 to 6:30 p.m.: Appearances by the Baltimore Ravens’ Dennis Pitta (5:30 – 6:30 p.m.) and the Washington Redskins’ Keenan Robinson (5:00 – 6:00 p.m.).

Towne Centre at Laurel is a mixed-use destination with approximately 400,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment. Current tenants that are now open include Burlington, Old Navy, Sports Authority, Party City, Kay Jewelers, Mission BBQ, Nando’s Peri Peri, Panera Bread, Noodles & Co., Moe’s Southwest Grill, Massage Envy, Sarku and Tutti Frutti. Harris Teeter is set to open on November 11 and Regal Cinemas will open on November 19. More than 15 other national and local retailers and restaurants are planning openings through winter 2015.
