Waugh Chapel Towne Centre Gives $300,000 to PTOs at 12 Anne Arundel County Schools

Gambrills, Md. (December 18, 2013) — This morning, Waugh Chapel Towne Centre donated $300,000 to the parent teacher organizations of 12 Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Waugh Chapel Towne Centre is the new 1.2 million-square-foot, open-air lifestyle center in Gambrills, developed by Greenberg Gibbons and Reliable Contracting.

Investing in the future and education of its neighbors, Waugh Chapel Towne Centre bestowed an endowment of $25,000 to each of the 12 parent teacher organizations surrounding the mixed-use development, including:

  • Arundel High School
  • Arundel Middle School
  • Crofton Elementary
  • Crofton Meadows Elementary
  • Crofton Middle School
  • Crofton Woods Elementary
  • Four Season’s Elementary
  • Millersville Elementary
  • Nantucket Elementary
  • Odenton Elementary
  • Piney Orchard Elementary
  • Waugh Chapel Elementary

“We are both humbled and grateful to be giving back to a community that has given us so much to be proud of,” said Brian Gibbons, Chairman and CEO of Greenberg Gibbons. “As parents and businesspeople, we strongly believe that investing in education is one of the best ways to strengthen a community and empower the next generation of leaders.”

The donations were made at the Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ Board of Education’s annual budget meeting, with elected officials, representatives from the PTOs and principals of the 12 schools in attendance. The gifts were made possible through the Greenberg Gibbons/Reliable Foundation, a newly created fund of the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County.
